Exercise Physiology

What is an Exercise Physiologist?
Exercise physiologists are health experts who study how our bodies react to exercise. They know a lot about how our bodies work, like our muscles, heart, and lungs. They figure out what happens to our bodies when we do different exercises, like running or lifting weights.
But they do more than just help people get fit. They also work with people who have disabilities. They make special exercise plans to help them move better, get stronger, and feel healthier. For people with disabilities who get support from the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), exercise physiologists work with them, their families, and other doctors to make a plan that helps them live better.
They also help kids stay healthy by teaching them good habits early on. They make exercise plans that are right for children’s bodies as they grow. Exercise physiologists use science to help people of all ages and abilities reach their fitness goals safely. Whether it’s getting better at sports, managing health issues, or just staying healthy, they give advice on how to do exercises right, avoid getting hurt, and stay well.
Because they know so much about how bodies work and how to make them stronger, exercise physiologists make a big difference in the lives of lots of people.
They help not only those with disabilities who are supported by the NDIS but also, Service and Ex-Service persons under the Department of Veterans Affairs, those with Private Health and Medicare.
