About Us
Adelaide Wellbeing Society was created by three passionate Exercise Physiologists, who saw the need for good quality health care.
From humble beginnings as Essential Exercise Physiology, providing Exercise Physiology only services, we had a much bigger dream. A dream where people could access a team of high quality services without the long waiting lists.
We are the Adelaide Wellbeing Society, here to support you.
We are a South Australian owned and operating team supporting the Northern suburbs of Adelaide.
We have the belief that everyone deserves to have a healthy and fulfilling life, where YOU are in control, not your illness, chronic condition, or disability.
We help you take control, feel better, and enhance your health and wellbeing.
We value strong relationships, personalised care, and equitable health, not the bottom line.
Meet the team

Bailey
Hi guys, my name is Bailey and I’ve been a part of the team since January 2022. I had previously completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science and recently completed a Masters Degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology. I’ve grown up playing sport every weekend and that’s where I discovered my love for exercise and that working as an Exercise Physiologist was for me. I love being an Exercise Physiologist because it gives you the chance to build significant relationships with your clients whilst assisting them in their exercise program. I believe that having a strong relationship with you is essential in order to help you achieve your goals, no matter how big or small they may be. Together we can do it!

Jessica
Hi, my name is Jessica, and I’m an Exercise Physiologist here at Adelaide Wellbeing Society. I hold a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology with Honours from the University of South Australia. My clinical focus is primarily on stroke rehabilitation and neurological recovery, with a particular interest in how exercise can enhance neuroplasticity and aid in the recovery of movement and function after neurological injuries.I am deeply passionate about the power of exercise to improve both physical and mental health, and I specialise in using targeted exercise programs to support individuals in their rehabilitation journey. My goal is to help clients regain independence, improve mobility, and enhance overall quality of life through tailored exercise interventions. I believe that through carefully designed exercise, we can harness the brain’s ability to reorganise and form new neural pathways, ultimately helping people recover lost function and improve their well-being.My interest in exercise grew from years of playing sports, particularly netball, which I’ve enjoyed for over 15 years. This passion for movement led me to become an Exercise Physiologist, where I find great fulfillment in empowering individuals to achieve their goals and improve their health. In addition to my clinical work, I am passionate about educating my clients on the life-changing benefits of exercise, and I have a strong focus on chronic conditions, neurological rehabilitation, and injury prevention. Outside of work, I coach junior netball and love spending time at the beach!

I have 11 years of experience working with adults in various health care settings across acute and subacute hospitals, clinics and community settings. I specialise in rehabilitation and have a particular interest in neurological rehabilitation. The brain has the most fascinating ability to reorganize itself by forming new connections and I really enjoy promoting opportunities for neuroplasticity. I have extensive experience in equipment (assistive technology) prescription, home assessment, home modifications, cognitive and functional assessment, neurological upper limb therapy and care. I am a passionate advocate for my participants with a strong focus on maximising independence in meaningful activities and achieving participant led goals. When I’m not working, you will most likely find me at the beach with my family or creating some form of messy play with my kids, life is meant to be messy I say.

Jonathon
Hi I’m Jonathon. I am one of the founding directors of Adelaide Wellbeing Society. My background stems from 16 years as a Senior Exercise Physiologist working in both private practice, community and government health care services. The human body is amazing, and the improvements you can make from living an active life is profound. I have a passion for Chronic Disease self management, behaviour change, health coaching, and rehabilitation, and it does not matter your level of health of physical ability (or disability), you can live a healthier and happier life by the benefits of movement and exercise. I have a young family, and therefore know too well the challenges of juggling a family whilst making sure to spend time for yourself to improve your health. If I’m not playing with the kids I’ll be out for a run, in the gym, or tinkering with a car!

Chantelle
Hi, Chantelle here, one of the founding directors of Adelaide Wellbeing Society. I’ve worked in many areas of health, and have specialised in occupational health, injury rehabilitation and supporting individuals with disability. From my experience working within the mining industry, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings, I am able to apply my clinical experience to produce individualised and evidence-based exercise prescriptions. My passion is to empower clients through exercise to achieve independence, confidence and the ability to live life to the fullest.

Cain
And I’m Cain, the other founding director of Adelaide Wellbeing Society. I’ve worked across many areas in health, both starting in Sydney then moving to Adelaide. For the last 7 years I have been the lead Exercise Physiologist at the Modbury Day Rehabilitation service. Although well experienced in all aspects of exercise physiology, my main expertise is with Amputee and Stroke rehabilitation. Having an amputation or CVA/stroke, or other disability, is dramatically life changing and affects everyone differently. For this reason a unique and individual approach is needed to help you recover and return to the activities of life you enjoy. I enjoy spending time with my wife and young daughter, doing construction/renovation and you will find me out playing golf most Saturday’s.
