Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy with an Exercise Physiologist

Gentle, supported exercise for people of all abilities – NDIS, DVA, private & more

Hydrotherapy is a safe and effective water-based form of exercise, ideal for people with disability, chronic conditions, injury recovery, or mobility challenges. Delivered by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP), hydrotherapy programs are fully personalised to support your individual needs and health goals.

Whether you’re an NDIS participant, accessing support through the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), or attending privately, hydrotherapy is a proven way to improve physical function, confidence, and wellbeing in a low-impact, supportive environment.

How Hydrotherapy Helps

  • Reduces joint and muscle stress – water supports your body, making movement easier and less painful

  • Improves strength, flexibility, and balance – without the risks of land-based exercise

  • Supports mobility and coordination – ideal for neurological and physical conditions

  • Relieves pain and stiffness – especially for arthritis, spinal conditions, or post-surgery rehab

  • Boosts confidence and mental wellbeing – the water offers a calm, inclusive space

  • Encourages independence – every session is tailored to your goals and progress

Who It’s For

  • NDIS participants (self, plan, or agency-managed)

  • DVA card holders (Gold and eligible White Card holders with referrals)

  • Private clients with chronic conditions, injury, or mobility challenges

  • Older adults needing gentle movement options

  • Carers and support coordinators seeking safe, expert-led therapies for those they support

Hydrotherapy is suitable for a wide range of conditions including:

  • Amputation
